THE PRAYER SHAWL GROUP would like to share with you that we have accepted a request to create Love Hearts for the patients in ICU in Victoria Hospital London Health Sciences Centre. We believe that we can help bring comfort to those who are struggling with severe illnesses and also to their family. These hearts are completed in matching pairs ... one of the hearts will be given to the patient and the other will be given to a family member. Since there is no visitation at this time, the staff arrange for a Facetime visit for the family with their loved one. During the visit the patient and the family member each hold a heart and they are connected through the love that it sends.

These hands knit or crochet large shawls, pocket prayer shawls, and little prayer bears that are filled with our prayers and are then available to be taken out into ministry wherever and whenever there is a need.
We are celebrating 5 years working together to give comfort to those who are experiencing difficult times as well as celebrating some of the happier moments in someone else’s life.
Up until today, we have given out over 712 shawls and lap blankets, 556 pocket prayer shawls and 392 prayer bears. That is a lot of love being sent out to others!!
