Weddings celebrate the life choices two people have made to live out their lives in a committed relationship, rejoicing in the love they share with each other. We recognize that this includes persons of all sexual orientations, gender identities, races and abilities. We welcome and honour your decision to walk life’s path together.
Weddings
Baptism is a formal acknowledgement of our acceptance into the community of faith, the church. In the United Church baptism can take place at any age. When candidates are infants or children, parents typically make baptismal vows on their behalf. Godparents may be chosen for infants or children being baptized. For all candidates the congregation may choose and appoint sponsors.
Baptisms
The most compelling reason to have a Christian funeral or memorial service is given by Jesus himself: “I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and whoever lives and believes in me shall never die.” Whether we have great faith, or are unsure about our faith, these words of Jesus support us as we remember, as we mourn, and as we say goodbye.
