Accessibility

“WELCOME!” is the message and we are doing a good job of conveying it.  Our sign says it and our announcement in the Exeter Lakeshore Times Advance says it.

The programs we provide ensure it. Our Mission Statement clarifies it. We have friendly greeters at the door, power point assisted worship, hearing devices and a scent-free policy.

All of these things help to comply with the first stage of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA).

  • We have a wheelchair that can be used while at the church.

  • We have an Automated External Defibrillator (AED for short).

  • We have an elevator available to use between levels.

  • Barrier-free toilet facilities.

  • Ramps to raised areas in the sanctuary.

As we move into Phase II and III of our Renewal Project, our Building Executive Team is ensuring that there will be accessibility into all areas of the building.

Our overall intent is to make the experience at Huron Shores United a safe and pleasant one where autonomy and dignity for everyone are always the priorities.
